This week at Bungo, we launched Curse of Eververse.

Your invitation to Eververse is literally tied to everything in our newest DLC. Check out all the sweet loot available at Tess's sweatshop! Get those arms loose for throwing all your money at the screen. If you missed the launch trailer, give it a looksee:

With the release of Curse of Eververse, Season Too has also commenced. The new season brings glad tidings of various system and sandbox updates. More updates are inbound. Expect vague and likely incorrect patch notes soon.

The Eater of Worlds

Today, the race for world's first is on for players not enjoying Overwatch, Warframe, Monster Hunter Beta, and Fortnite. This new raid activity will stretch your imagination with 1,000 piece puzzles, NBA Showtime levels of dunking, and 96 infinite possibilities. However, if you don't feel like completing activities for your reward, you may purchase the world's first at the Eververse store for 6,900 Bungo Bronze!

As always, we will be watching from high atop our stacks of money to see your wallets unfold... I mean watch the race unfold. As an aside, we are aware of some known issues that may give players an unfair advantage, but we put our faith in you that you won't do it! Lest ye be judged ;)

Faction Rally

Its back! We added some features from Destiny 1 that were "lost" in the transition to Destiny 2. You can now purchase armor directly from your faction vendor. You are so welcome for our generosity! Future War Cult wins this round because it is their turn.

Wheter you've met Osiris or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold. With the beginning of Season Too, some of the ways you break their grip have changed. I don't know those details, so here is Mike Wazowski to fill you in.

Mike: Hey there Guardians. First up, we know about the Prometheus Lens. It is not what we intended. See what had happened was we were going to put that gun in Destiny 1, but forgot about it, so we threw her in there real tight like. Funny thing is though we forgot to nerf the TTK back to the fun levels you are applauding on the Bungo Forums and the reddit. Quite literally anything that resembles D1 is gamebreaking, so we have some exciting fixes in the ole pipeline.

Here is what we are working on: If you don't mind getting wrecked by this gun and actually enjoy the power fantasy, we will let you enjoy it out of the laziness of our hearts. However, if you are finding yourself up against a team of four lens carrying sweaties, we are adding an advanced armor pack to the Eververse inventory. This armor set deflects any damage from the Prometheus Lens' and directs right back at your enemies. For the low price of 20,000 Bungo Bronze, it can be yours. Now before you get too worried, we are also adding an exotic weapon upgrade for the Prometheus Lens, available for 25,000 Bungo Bronze. This upgrade will melt the upgraded armor within a mere second. How about that for a fix? Of course, these exclusive packages will be available immediately following the release of the update.

As for the other sandbox fixes, those will have to wait. Our process for making these fixes relies on a combination of raw player feedback, ignoing said feedback, and doing whatever makes us the most money. We ThEn PlAyTeSt AnD FiNe TuNe ThE cHaNgEs As MuCh As PoSsIbLe.

Thanks for reading. Please don't stop playing our game.

We Hear You!

Just last week we promised to be more open with our communication, so I'd like to give you an example of our process. How is feedback collected? How is it shared amongst our studio?

Whether it is a post on Bungo, the community forum, or social media, feedback starts with a conversation. You all chime in with glorious applause and praise. We then share that praise with upper management and throw parties with your hard earned money. When we identify a pressing matter (there really aren't any that we've heard) we share it directly and immediately with the teams that don't know what they are doing. Here is one example:

As a player, I want to earn more meaningful rewards from pinnacle activities.

Next week, MasterBandAids will be deployed to add more value to your grind. They will definitely fix the majority of the problems you are facing. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! Soon, we will be adding more ways to put your loot behind a paywall. We have definite plans for that, but as for other exciting options like a reworked mod system, custom matches, ranked playlists, better matchmaking, end game activities, and unique activity weapons and armor, those details are few and far between. We'll talk more about them when the next Kotaku article rips us a new one.

Other Known Issues We Don't Care About

  • Players being locked out of content like:

  • Prestige Raid

  • Heroic Strikes

  • The Exotic Shotgun Quest

  • At least you can still get those Eververse Engrams!

  • Returning Destiny 1 Players lost their Silver Balance

  • Items purchased with real money in Destiny 1 did not carry over (Intended, but I guess that's a problem for some people)

  • XP not working correctly

  • Exotic Engrams drop at decreased rates

  • Time to Kill is too high!

  • Grenades work more like the things you pop on New Year's Eve

  • Osiris's storyline

  • Lore and Grimoire is absent

  • Cat still has Guardian's tongue.

Cinematic Adventures of the Past 7 Days!

As Destuny sees new content, so does our Community Creations page. We've seen some great videos this week that really tell the true feelings, stories, and love this community has for our great game!

See below.

Honorable Mention:

Today will be a rush. After many test sessions with Team Big Beautiful Birds, I am excited to see just how many players are still actually playing this game. Seeing the dwindling player base fight on through the Leviathan will be meh. Let the race begin!

Cheers,
